Freestyle judo really made some progress this year. We had over 200 athletes compete in the AAU Freestyle Judo Nationals May 29 in Kearney, Missouri and Mike Darter hosted the Oklahoma Grand Slam on May 8 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with 137 athletes entered. We're attracting new people all the time, especially with the restrictive IJF rules for judo.
